BVSC A TEAM 2005/06 PERFECTION CUP WINNERS

MATCH REPORT - BVSC v KINGS NORTON XS 'B'

This match actually proved easier than we thought it would. We won 4-1 and really it probably should have been 5-0.

Luke completely outplayed his opponent. The same guy Paul lost to earlier on this season!

Paul played quite a bit worse than he has the last couple of weeks...and won! It's a funny old game as someone once said. Paul was behind early to a break of 20, but after that, he was basically the only one potting any balls and won fairly comfortably.

Alan had a bit of a scrappy game too, but after a slightly shaky beginning, he edged ahead and managed to keep it.

Ian started off with a couple of flukes. It's about time he had some good fortune and he built up a nice lead of 20+. His opponent was really struggling too. However, the game turned half way through. Having potted a red, Ian attempted a pretty simple snooker, but it didn't come off and he seemed to lose all confidence as a result. Amazingly, it was Ian that then started to miss and eventually he found himself needing a snooker, which he got but only after he had failed to escape from a snooker himself.

Mark was a bit off form too, with his positional play poor for his standard. However, he took better advantage of the chances he got and won fairly comfortably, though he did fail three times to escape from a snooker.
